FrameTrellis v1.2.1 Released: Better Startup Diagnostics and Windows Verification

FrameTrellis v1.2.1 has officially been released as a stable maintenance update.

FrameTrellis is a free, open-source, local-first desktop video editor developed using C++20, Qt 6/QML, MLT and FFmpeg.

This update focuses on strengthening application startup behavior, package verification and automated testing.

What's New in v1.2.1?

Improved startup diagnostics

Additional lifecycle checkpoints help developers investigate startup, QML initialization and shutdown behavior.

Safer cleanup

The application now follows its normal cleanup sequence even when QML window creation fails.

Stronger Windows verification

Package validation includes stricter DLL-path inspection, independent ARM64-emulation launch checks and improved diagnostic artifact collection.

Expanded regression coverage

Additional tests strengthen validation across supported build and release workflows.

Compatibility

The existing FrameTrellis project format remains unchanged.

Windows x64 users can download an installer or portable ZIP. Linux builds remain available from source.

Windows packages are currently unsigned, so users should verify the published checksums.

WinGet installation is not included in this version.
