Published: October 17, 2026
I'm excited to announce the first stable release of SpeedPulse v1.0.0, an open-source internet speed testing and developer diagnostics application.
SpeedPulse brings browser-based performance measurements, interactive charts, and developer tools together in one project.
What is SpeedPulse?
SpeedPulse helps users explore their internet connection through download and upload measurements, latency readings, performance visualizations, and locally stored test history.
It also offers additional diagnostics for developers who want to investigate browser and network behavior.
Highlights of v1.0.0
The first stable release includes:
- Internet download and upload speed testing
- HTTP latency and approximate jitter measurements
- Interactive bandwidth charts
- Locally stored test history
- CSV export and result-sharing tools
- Responsive layouts and customizable themes
- Developer Labs with additional diagnostics
- Optional ASP.NET Core 10 self-hosted backend
- Improvements to upload failures and chart reliability
Available platforms
SpeedPulse can be used directly from its hosted website.
The v1.0.0 GitHub release also includes downloadable archives for:
- Windows x64
- Linux x64
- Apple Silicon macOS
- Static web hosting
The operating-system archives provide self-hosted ASP.NET Core applications, while the public GitHub Pages version runs as a static web application.
