Code of Conduct

FrameTrellis is built by people with different backgrounds, skills and opinions. We want the project to be a welcoming, harassment-free place for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Expected behaviour

  • Be kind and patient, especially with newcomers.
  • Assume good intent; ask before concluding someone meant harm.
  • Give and accept constructive feedback about the work, not the person.
  • Respect people's time, privacy and boundaries.
  • Credit others' work and say when you are unsure.

Unacceptable behaviour

  • Harassment, insults, slurs, or personal or political attacks.
  • Sexualised language or imagery, and unwelcome attention.
  • Publishing other people's private information without permission.
  • Sustained disruption of discussions, or encouraging any of the above.

Scope

This code applies in all project spaces — issues, pull requests, discussions, chat channels and events — and when someone represents the project elsewhere.

Reporting

Report problems to the maintainer through the contact form at https://sanskarin.github.io/contact/#send-a-message. Reports are handled confidentially. The maintainer will review the report, may contact the people involved, and decides on an appropriate response, from a private warning to a temporary or permanent ban. If the maintainer is involved, say so in your report; it will then be handled with extra care for impartiality.

Enforcement guidelines

  1. Correction — a private, written warning that explains the problem.
  2. Warning — a warning with consequences for continued behaviour.
  3. Temporary ban — no interaction with the project for a period.
  4. Permanent ban — for repeated or severe violations.
