Download FrameTrellis

FrameTrellis is free and open source. Packages are published on the GitHub releases page, each with SHA-256 checksums, a software bill of materials and the license notices of every bundled component.

Windows installer

For Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit. Installs for your user account; no administrator rights needed.

No installation: extract the folder anywhere, for example on a USB drive, and run frametrellis.exe.

Linux and macOS

There are no packages for Linux or macOS yet. You can build FrameTrellis from source on Linux; macOS support is planned.

The Windows packages are not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” the first time you run them. Check the SHA-256 checksum, then choose More info → Run anyway. The installation guide explains each step.

Build from source

FrameTrellis needs a C++20 compiler, CMake 3.21 or newer, Qt 6.5 or newer, MLT 7 with its FFmpeg module, and optionally SDL 2 for audio playback. The building guide has the complete instructions.

Verifying a download

Every release lists the SHA-256 checksum of each file in SHA256SUMS.txt. On Windows, compare it with:
