v0.5.93 exact-source test-count clarification

Published SOURCE-ONLY pre-release; NOT a playable game build. There is no compiled Win64 EXE, Windows installer, Android APK/AAB, cooked game or licensed Unreal Engine 5.8 hardware qualification.

The immutable v0.5.93 release notes quote 679 Python source checks, which was the separate pull-request merge-preview count. A PR merge-preview includes files from protected main in addition to the candidate development branch. The release publisher instead checks out the exact unmerged tag commit, which does not contain all main-line release-policy tests.

Exact reviewed evidence

  • Immutable source tag: v0.5.93 at 9dd2b3236f25b242387233c988255881dd7aab59.
  • Release workflow: exact-source qualification.
  • Windows strict C++20 tests: 184/184 passed.
  • Ubuntu strict C++20 tests: 184/184 passed.
  • macOS strict C++20 tests: 184/184 passed.
  • Direct pinned-source Python tests: 674/674 passed.
  • Separate PR merge-preview Python tests: 679/679 passed.
  • The five extra merge-preview checks are ExperimentalV0592SourceReleasePolicyTests, which are present on protected main but absent from the frozen, unmerged source commit.
  • Source-only PowerShell packaging-policy and MkDocs verification passed.
  • Zero executable attachments; no Unreal/UHT, cooked Win64, installed driving or hardware physics verification is implied.

The release tag and its original notes remain immutable. This clarification is a separately maintained website document, so the independent published-release audit can continue confirming that its GitHub release description exactly matches the source-tagged notes.

A test-count difference does not change the actual source code, make the simplified four-corner vehicle playable, or close the real game milestone #148. A genuine UE5.8/UHT Editor/Game build, cooked track and manual Win64 playtest at 30/60/120 FPS remain mandatory.
