LateBrake v0.5.34 — Source Release Workflow Integrity

SOURCE-ONLY GitHub pre-release. This is NOT a playable game build. No compiled Win64 EXE, Android APK/AAB, or installed playable game is included. GitHub-generated source ZIP/tar.gz archives are not installers.

Source release workflow integrity

  • Pre-release validation: New standard-library Python SourceReleaseWorkflowPolicyTests.py detects structural errors in modern source-only release workflows before they are merged, including duplicated jobs and incorrectly quoted CTest filters.
  • Pinned source parity: Tests verify the three cross-platform source checkouts and actual release publisher use the same fixed 40-character commit SHA. A mismatched tag, notes path or predecessor release check fails.
  • Integrity regression fixtures: Malformed CTest strings, duplicate release sections, source-revision drift, wrong tag, incorrect release note path and missing source-only warnings are explicitly rejected by negative tests.
  • Grounded outcome: These source tests address a real GitHub Actions configuration failure discovered while publishing v0.5.32. They are not a complete YAML parser and do not replace actual GitHub Actions execution.
  • No gameplay changes: Source-only v0.5.33 live same-sector target feedback and v0.5.32 current-lap potential remain intact. Neither is a verified running game.

Verified source checks, limits

GitHub Actions runs the portable C++20 matrix on Ubuntu, Windows and macOS, PowerShell packaging-policy fixtures, Python editor-source contracts and the new release-workflow integrity regressions. The publisher independently validates a fixed candidate commit and checks the previous v0.5.33 source-only pre-release before creating v0.5.34.

The project has not established a genuine Unreal Engine 5.8/UHT editor compile, a cooked game map or tested playable packages. The GitHub-provided source ZIP and tarball are not Windows EXE, Android APK/AAB or installed games; the GitHub release contains zero executable assets.

Before a playable pre-release or stable game

  1. Compile with an authorized UE 5.8 installation and author/cook the authentic starter circuit map.
  2. Run real simulator, track, collision, recovery and checkpoint tests in Unreal.
  3. Produce genuine Win64 and Android packages, verify integrity and bind actual package provenance to hardware QA evidence.
  4. Finish Unreal crossing qualification #31 and Android qualification #13.

Authored LateBrake code uses BSD-3-Clause; Unreal Engine and Epic-supplied content follow their own license.

Source-only pre-release — zero playable files.
