1. Data Collection
On GitHub Pages, SpeedPulse stores result history in your browser's localStorage
rather than in a SpeedPulse-owned central database. Network tests contact the remote providers
described below. If you run the optional self-hosted .NET backend, that server receives test
requests and may record request metadata depending on your hosting configuration.
2. Third-Party Services
To accurately measure your internet connection, SpeedPulse communicates with public third-party endpoints:
- Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com): Used to download and upload payload chunks for speed measurement.
- IPAPI (ipapi.co): Used to look up your approximate ISP, public IP address, and general geographic location.
- ipwho.is: Used as an HTTPS fallback if IPAPI is unavailable.
- Google Fonts / jsDelivr: Supply font styles and optional chart/image-export libraries.
These services may process your IP address per their respective privacy policies to facilitate the network request.

By using SpeedPulse, you consent to this privacy policy and the mechanism by which we test your internet connection.
